small modern public space in NoHo located on Fourth Street. plenty of benches on the perimeter. little bit of greenery. no trees or shade though, so this place will be scorching when summer is in full effect. nice quiet-ish spot to park and read a book, enjoy a cup of coffee or some food, or simply to clear one’s mind outside. stopped here a few times and enjoyed lunch outside on a mild spring day. definitely will stop here again with some reading to do before NYC becomes too hot and humid

11th Street Community Garden

small medium-ish community garden.
maintained by neighborhood volunteers. decent amount of shade on sunny day. eclectically decorated. feels very much of the east village of old sans litter. variety of plants and flowers.
low-key place to sit and read when open. there some seating options.
overall. a decent place to take a breath when running errands in the EAst Village.

Sage Garden

smallish to medium-sized community garden located in Alphabet City.
it's a casual looking garden. there are small sections of flowers, other greenery, bushes, and small trees. it's all done tastefully as the garden has an open uncrowded vibe. the garden extends further back than i realized from an initial glance. there's few a few seating options throughout. this is more of a walk-through community than a sit-and-chill spot. this place is A-Ok and worth a look. it still needs a little bit more character as it is fairly bare rn.
drops mic cuz i'm enjoying the outdoors
